Location
Hemisphere’s uranium tenements are located approximately 50 km south of Sandstone, adjacent to Lake Noondie in the Murchison. Surrounding uranium deposits include Yeelirrie (largest unmined calcrete uranium deposit in the world), Wondingdong, Lake Mason and Lake Anketell.
Geology
The surficial calcrete and sedimentary palaeo-drainage systems that border Lake Noondie are the host rock for the uranium mineralisation in the form of carnotite. The MMI survey has created drill targets as well as identifying landforms associated with mineralisation.
