Hemisphere Resources received formal notification of their success in ballot results released on 21 October 2009 for the Pilbara Iron Tenement E47/2110.

Priority exploration licence application E47/2110 of some 30sq km is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Hemisphere won the ballot ahead of six other applicants including FMG Pilbara Pty Ltd, Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd, Murchison Metals Limited and others.

The property was keenly sought and is located 1.8km south of Hemisphere’s Yandicoogina South Project (E47/1904), approximately 15km north east of Mining Area C (BHPB) and some 5km north of Hope Downs. Basement geology includes Brockman Iron Formation and Weeli Wolli Formation.
